which Shall be appointed to Audit the Account relating to Vagabonds
to be checked with the Orders for Rewards; and the same Method be
observed from Year to Year, untill this Court shall otherwise Order
and direct.

And this Court are of Opinion that the apprehending Beggars
being the imediate Duty and Bussiness of the Deadles of the
several Parishes, for which they are paid Salaries raised upon the
Public; therefore the County Money ought not to be disposed of to
such Beadles for the apprehending Beggars, as it is very unreasonable
that the Public should be twice charged on that Account.

And if appears to this Court, that some of the Magistrates have
not conformed themselves to the Order of Session of July 14. 1757.
and for want of such Conformity, this County hath been put to the Expence
of near £150 the last year; but this Court considering the Artifices of the
Constables and other under Officers, who have by indirect Practises
accumulated large Sums of the public Money to their own use, are
willing to ascribe the Noncomplaince of such Magistrates rather to the
Artifices of such Officers, than to any designed Opposition to the Effects of
this Court to save the public Money: This Court therefore for bear any
further Animadversions thereupon, saving and reserving such
Complaints as are now subsisting against Samuel Bever< no role > Esqr . One of
the Magistrates of this County: but as Experience have is need the Utility
of the said Order of Sessions this Court do for the future expect an
implicite Observance of the Orders of Sessions in Respect to the
apprehending and Conveying Vagabonds, and this Court will inforce
the Execution of such Orders by all Lawfull Means: And this Court
do recommend to the Magistrates of this County residing with in the
Bills of Mortality the Practise of the Magistraey of the City of London , of
not allowing more than Two Shillings to the Apprehender of a Vagabonds

And Whereas by the Statute of the 17th. of the King, Chang 5.
Sect. 16 it is Enacted "That the Justices of the Peace of any County
..Riding, City, Borough, Term, corporate Division, or Liberty shall and
..may at the General or Quarter of the Peace, from time to time limit
..appoint and direct what Rates and Allowance per Mile or otherwise
..shall be made for the passing Conveying or Maintaining of Rogues
..Vagabonds, or incorrigible Rogues, to be passed and conveyed as ofsd.
..And may likewise make such other Orders Rules and directions
..for the more regular Proceeding or Acting therein within their
..their respive Limit and Jurisdictions, as they in their
Dis [..]
