Order for Mr. Higgs Trearer
of Middx to pay 16s. to Mr.
John Daniel< no role > the Depty Cryer
for posting up orders of
Sessions for Suppressing
unlawfull Fairs Etc.}

It is Ordered by this Court that Mr. John Higgs< no role > Treasurer of the County
of Middx do pay unto Mr. John Daniel< no role > Depty Cryer of this Court the
Sum of Sixteen Shillings allowed to him by this court for his trouble
and pains in fixing and posting up at Paddington , Tottenham
High Cross , Hampstead and Mile End Orders made at the Sessions
of the Peace for the Said County for the Suppressing of Unlawfull
Fairs, and also for Serving Orders, and Summoring a Committee
in order to prevent the excessive increase of Horse races, And
that the Receipt of the Said John Daniel< no role > together with this Order
Shall be a Sufficient Discharge to the Said Treasurer for Such
payment.

By adjornment on Thursday the fifteenth Day of October 1747
before Thomas Lane< no role > , Merry Teshmaker< no role > , Richard Ricards< no role > , William
Withers

Order for appointing Mr. John
Singer High Constable of the
Hundred of Isleworth in the
Stead of Mr. Wm. Day< no role > , and Mr.
Edwd. Brooks< no role > to be High
Constable within the
Hundred of Elthorne in the
Stead of Mr. Joseph Jennings< no role > .}

Whereas Mr. William Day< no role > hath Served the Office of High Constable
of the Hundred of Isleworth in this County for the Space of three
years or upwards, and Mr. Joseph Jennings< no role > hath also Served the
Office of High Constable within the Hundred of Elthorne in the Said
County for the Space of three years or upwards, and both of them
praying to be discharged from their said respective Offices, This Court
doth appoint John Singer< no role > of Twickenham in the Said County Gent.
to be High Constable of the Said Hundred of Isleworth in the place
and Stead of the Said William Day< no role > , And doth also appoint Edward
Brooks of New Brentford in this County Gent . to be High
Constable within the said Hundred of Elthorne in the place and
Stead of the Said Josephe Jennings< no role > , Whereupon It is Ordered,
by this Court that the Said John Singer< no role > and Edward Brooks< no role > do
forthwith (after Notice of this Order) attend James Clitherow< no role > Esqr.
one of his Majesty< no role > 's Justices of the Peace of this County or Some other
Justice of the Peace of the said County residing in or near the Said Hundreds
or one of them, and before them or one of them forthwith take their
respective Oaths (to wit) the Said John Singer< no role > his Oath for his due
Execution of the Office of High Constable of the Said Hundred of Isleworth
and the Said Edward Brooks< no role > his Oath for his due Execution of the
Office of High Constable within the Said Hundred of Elthorn , and from
and after the time of their having taken their said respective Oaths the Said
William Day< no role > & Joseph Jennings< no role > are to Stand absolutely discharged from their
said respective Offices of High Constable.
