Upon reading the Report of William Cotesworth & Robert
Tothill
Esqrs
. two of his Maties Justices of the peace
of this
County (to whom It was by an Order, made in April Sessions
last, referred to consider the matter of the peticon of Mrs.
Frances Seymour< no role >

then exhibited to the Court
Settingforth that her allowance for dinners is but for twenty
four Justices of the peace of this County, And that the
number of them is increased prodigiously, Soe that the petr.
cannot possibly subsist under the great burden without the
assistance of the Court, and praying to be releived, And alsoe
to consider what was fit to be done in relacon to the premisses)
It appeareth to this Court by the said Report & the Account
thereto annexed that the extraordinary charge of the three
last Sessions (over & above the allowance for twenty four
Justices many were attending almost everyday in each
Sessions) amounts to thirty two pounds & Sixteen Shillings,
which in the opinion of the said Mr. Cotesworth & Mr.
Tothill ought to be made good to the Housekeeper, and for
preventing such expence for the future It is by the said
Report recomended to the Court that the Housekeeper do
provide for twenty three Justices, & the Clerk of the peace &
undersherriffe each day in every sessions according to
the customary allowance from the Treasury
and noe
more, This Court upon takeing the said Matters into
consideracon Doth hereby order & direct that the said
Mr. Seymour doe apply by peticon with proper
suggestions therein to the right honble. the Lords
Comissioners of his Maties Treasury
And thereby pray
that they will be pleased to grant an additionall
allowance to enable her to provide for the Justices of
the peace of the county they being for more
