Upon Report made unto this Court by Whitelock Bulstrode< no role >
John Venner< no role > and John Gumley< no role > Esquires three of his Majestys Justices
of the peace for this County (to whom, amongst others, It was
referred by Order made at the last Generall Quarter Sessions
of the peace holden for this County by adjournment on the
fifteenth day of October last to State & adjust the Accompts
of Christopher Clitherowe< no role > Esquire Treasurer of the Moneys
collected for repair of Chertsea and Brentford bridges
in this County, and to report the same to this Court) that
the said Christopher Clitherowe< no role > Stands charged with
the Sume of Six hundred and Seventy pounds three shillings
and eight pence three farthings, And also that he hath
paid the Sumes of money menconed in the accompt annexed
to the said Report amounting to the Sume of Six hundred
Sixty three pounds nine shillings & five pence three
farthings, And that there is remaining in the hands of
the said Christopher Clitherow< no role > to ballance the said
Accompts the Sume of Six pounds fourteen shillings
and three pence, and that the said Referrees do not
find that any of the Workmen employed in the repair
of the said bridges are unpaid, This Court upon
consideration had of the premisses Doth allow of and
confirm the said Report And doth Order that the said
Christopher Clitherow< no role > do pay unto John Gumley< no role > Esquire
one of his Majestys Justices of the peace for this County
(whom this Court doth appoint to be the succeeding Treasurer
of the moneys raised or to be raised for repair of the said
Bridges in the room and place of the said Christopher
Clitherow) the said Sume of Six pounds fourteen shillings
and three pence remaining in the hands of the said
Christopher Clitherow< no role > upon the ballance of his said
Accompts, And that the receipt of the said John Gumley< no role >
together with this Order or a true Copy thereof shall
be a sufficient Discharge to the said Christopher
Clitherow for such payment.
