went to lodge at Mr. Pullen's facing the Baptist's Head Coffee
House in Chancery Lane where he continued about four or five
Weeks. Then he went to lodge at Mr. Edward's at No. 1 Mulins
Cave Space Fields where he has lodged ever Since. That he this
Examinant has had no other Employment for the last five months
than looking out for a Place. That he this Examinant brought
with him to Town about forty Pounds, and has now remaining
unexpended about Six Pounds. That he left Edward's Lodging
last Saturday night and went to No. 7 James Street near
Old Street . Whilst he lodged in Chancery Lane aforesaid
He breakfasted at Home on Tea, then often went to enquire
about places of Mr. Holland at the Bull and Gate. Mr. Mitchell
Chandois Street Watchmaker . Examinant first met Oliver
in Holborn and became acquinted with him in purchasing
of him a Coat at Mr. Hornewood's about three Weeks ago. The
Second Time that he this Examinant saw Oliver was in Company
at the Three Cups Aldersgate Street , but he this Examinant
did not know any other Person in the said Company except Oliver
That Oliver and he this Examinant met there by Appointment
about the Sale of a Horse of Mr. Smith's of Hornchurch , That
he was at the Castle in Holborn with Oliver about Three Months
ago but did not know any one in Company. That they met by
Accident and drank seperately Examinant does not recollect
any Thing that passed in Conversation. That they met next
at the Bull and has walked with Oliver three or four Times.
Sometimes in the Streets, and sometimes in the Fields, for no
other Purpose to his Knowledge than for Exercise; and have walked
with Oliver at White Chapel . Examinant has met Oliver at
the Bell and walked, with him down Holborn, about Cornhill,
and the Bank, in Company with Mr. Howlett. That he this
Examinant hath often assumed the Name of Sir Edmund Affleck< no role >
but with no [..] Intention to defraud. Examinant has met
a Gentleman who [..] had the Apperance of a military Officer at
the Spread Eagle in the Strand three or four Times, but doth
not
