Lawson twice to openInformant From those
Circumstances being satisfied that Lawson was awake
kept Johnson closely pressed and served upon the
bed, so as to present Lawson Getting out of it
Joseph Gates< no role > being gone down Stairs, Informant
wait untill his return, when the two Prisoners
were secured in Custody by being tied together
Informant then proceeded to search the Garret wherein
the Prisoners were taken; and Found a Flask divers
Counterfiet half Crown Pieces, Shillings and six
Pences, two bottles with a little Quantity of Aqua
Fortis, some Emery, Sand, securing Paper and the
other things now produced, said to be necessary and
requisite for the Purpose of Coining and which are now presentafter these
Articles were removed, the Prisoners were taken
seperatelytothe twoWood Street Compter And this Informant
William Miller< no role > for himself saith, that he
accompanied the other Informant Thomas Gates< no role >
to the said House in New Court aforesaid, and stood
at the door to prevent any Persons escaping
Informant saw the Arm of a Person whom he verily
believes to be the Prisoner Johnson, throwing out
the counterfeit Silver now Produced, and which
Informant afterwards picked off the Ground
And the said Joseph Gates< no role > for Further himself saith,
that all the Circumstances relates by the Informant
Thomas Gates< no role > , where in he is said the former
Part of this Information to have acted in Company
with the said Thomas Gates< no role > , are in all respects,
Strictly true And the said Ann Wilton< no role > for
herself saith, that some time after Christmas last
the Prisoner Johnson, together with another Person
unknown, came to her and hired the Further
Garret above mentioned at Eighteen Pence a
Week that a Few days afterwards he
