that he was a person a good deal seamed with the
Small Pox< no role > & a tallish man, & used often to be drinking at
the Marquiss of Granby, Says the Turnkey could not
recollect who it could be, says that [..] then was, a
remarkable passage some time ago at the Marquiss
of Granby which caused him to recollect the prisoner
much better than he otherwise should have done, which was
that Prisoner advertized for a Wet Nurse for a Child, the
People to apply to the Marquiss of Granby, Informant
was drinking in that house the Afternoon that the Women
were to apply & there was a great Number came, prisoner
took is the Women is one by one, which caused a good deal
of Ninth, says at the time this Matter happened one Mr.
Naston lived at this House, & now keeps the Cliffords Inn Coffee
House near Temple Bar , says that on Monday last he went
to Cliffords Inn Coffee House , along with one Mr. Badger in Hind
Court Fleet Street , and enquired of Mr. Newton if she recollected
the Circumstance of the Man advertising for a Wet Nurse, she said
she did very well, he then [..] ask'd her the Man; Name and was
informed by her it was Rowley, but that he death with Mr.
Atkinson on< no role > Ludgate Hill< no role > who knew him well, he accordingly
went to Mr. Atkinson who told him where Rowley lived
and that he went along with the Constable to take him lest
an innocent Man might be taken into Custody
