The Declartion and Information of Joseph Barrow< no role >
taken upon Oath ye. 12th. day of September 1765

I saw Elizabeth Stanmore< no role > with three Guineas which asked
her how she Came by them she said Mr: Watford his Cousin
and Mr Boddington had given her a Guinea Each and
desired me to Buy her a pair of Silver Buttons & Buckles and
gave me one Pound Six Shillings for which I gave one Guinea
at a Shop on Towerhill and Returned her Back five Shillings
Another time Eliz: Stanmore had put her Shoes of to Clean
at the Cellar Door and I was in a Room called the Eight which
we tooks & joyns to the Barr, Mistress went to the door & was
talking to Some persons which she observed and went into the
Barr without Shoes and look out of the Till a Half Guinea
and wrapped it up in a piece of Paper & put down her Bossom
Watching Mistress all the while some time after my Mistress
Came in & went to the Till and mist the half Guinea & Challenged
her with it and she denied it

On a Friday about the middle of May saw Eliz: Stanmore< no role >
Slip one Shilling into her Shoe which I Challenged her with
and she denied it I Searched her Shoes and found one Shillg.
and two five Shillings and 3 penny Peices on which I threatned
her I would tell my Mistress of she begged and desired I would
not threatned to Drown, or to Kill herself with a Knive if I did
and Severall times sent the other Servant John Curtis< no role > to desire [..] to Come
to her and frightned him in thinking she would make away with
her self & had Concealed a Knive under her Cloaths I went unto her she begged [..] would not tell and said
I might as well do the Same and that the Servant before had
a Pick Lock hey which he used on such occasions on the
Monday following I complied, as I was Cleaning the little
Parlour Eliz: Stanmore came and told me then an opportunity
offered to Rob the Till and she had conveyed the Keys away
in the Table Cloath into a Drawer Mistress was gone out
with Nurse, and my Master was at the Door, and now
was the Time, or cannot do it all, and she watched my Master
