THE Examination of Elizabeth Duff< no role >
committed to the London workhouse
as a
Rogue and Vagabond apprehended by
Thomas Hartwell< no role > Constable
in the parish of St Martin
Ironmonger Lane in the said City, and brought
before and one of His Majesty's Justices of
the Peace for the said City. Taken this 24th
Day of September 175 1 .

Who on her Oath saith, that she is about sixty three
years of age and is the widow of Charles Duff< no role >
a Pedlar deceas'd who dyed about twenty years
ago and whose Settlement she knows nothing
of That she was born in the parish of
Axminster in the County of Devon as
she hath been informed and verily believes
And hath not since obtained any subsequent Settlement to this
Examinant's Knowledge and Belief.
