We the Grand Jurors of the City of London , Sworn
to enquire for Our Sovereign Lord the King; having
with great concern obser'd of late, the daily increase
of idle Vagrants & common Biggars, as well as
many fright full Objects in the Streets and Parts
adjacent which in itself is an Evil, productive
of many bad Consequences, to all his Majestys
Subjects and in a particular Manner to Child bear
ing Woman. And We apprehend this growing
Evil, to do greatly wing to the good Laws and
subsisting, not being put into due Execution
notwithstanding the Recepts issued cat by the
Majestrates, for That Purpose.

The daily Papers inform Us, that the Neigh-
bouring Parishes, without the City, have under
their Consideration, we for as possible, effectually
to supports all Houses of bad Repute & to clear
their Several Parishes of all Lewd & disorderly
Woman, are well Street Walkers, as Others Which
Relation We apprehend will he attended with
very bad [..]
oxforting to it, man fing of Lewd & disorderly
Houses (a head yr too many) to the Danger & thin
of Many Young, Persons, apprentices, Servants
& others, that are unwarily insur'd, by the halfill
Solicitations of that Abandoned Bottigate Westems.
