To John Sharpe< no role > one of the Constables of the
City of London and also to the Governor or Mas-
ter of the House of Correction in Bridewell Precinct
London and likewise to all Governors or
Masters of all Houses of Correction whom it may concern, to receive
and convey, and to the Church-Wardens and Overseers of the Poor
of the Parish of Gillingham in Dorsetshire
to receive and Obey.

WHEREAS Jane Baling< no role > Wife of Edward Baling< no role > and their three Children
Ann< no role > Sarah< no role > & Jane< no role > werewas apprehended in the City of London ,
as Rogue s and Vagabond s and brought before me one of his Majesty's Justi-
ces of the Peace for the said City of London and Liberties thereof, and
upon Examination of the said John Baling< no role >
on Oath, it doth appear that they
are Rogue s and Vagabond s within the true Intent and Meaning of the
Statute in that Case made and provided, and that the Place of [..] last
legal Settlement is in the said Parish of Gillingham in Dorsetshire

THESE are therefore to require you, the said John Sharpe< no role >
no Convey the said Jane Baling< no role > and her three Children in the
next direct Why [..] the [..]
aforesaid and you the said Governor or Master of the said House of
Correction, to receive the said Jane Baling< no role > and her three Children into your
Custody , and them convey or cause to be convey'd, to the first House of
Correction in the next County or Place, in the next direct Way to the said Parish
of Gillingham and in
like Manner every other Governor or Master of every House of Correction
to whom it may belong, to convey the said Jane Baling< no role > and her three Children
from House of Correction to House of Correction , untill they [..] shall ar-
rive at the House of Correction belonging tobe said Dorsetshire
and the Master or Governor of the said House of Cor-
rection, to convey and deliver, or cause to be convey'd and deliver'd, the
said Jane Baling< no role > and her three Children to some Church-Warden or
Overseer of the Poor of the said Parish of Gillingham
[..] according to Law. And you
the said Church-Wardens and [..] of the Poor, are hereby required
to receive the said Jane Baling< no role > and her three Children and provide
for them as aforesaid. Given under my Hand and Seal, the fifth
day of May 1742
