William Moore< no role > of the Parish of Saint Andrew Holborne in the City.
of London Gent . and Thomas Holmden< no role > of Gillingham in the County of
Kent Fisherman Severally make Oath and Say and first this Dept.
William Moore< no role > for himself Saith that he did on the twentieth day of
February instant receive from Mr. Joseph Baldwin< no role > the Defendants.
Sollicitor in this Cause a Notice in Writing Purporting that this
Honble Court would be mead Yesterday or so Soon after as Councel could be heard
that the Tryal of this Indictment might be Respited until next
April Sessions but this Dept further saith that he did Subpena James Hicks< no role >
Robert Webb< no role > Lewis Good< no role > Child and Thomas Jarvis< no role > to Attend as
Witnesses for the Prosr. at the Tryal of this Cause, And this Dept
Thomas Holmden< no role > for himself saith that he together with the four
Witnesses above Named do New Attend in Order to give Evidence
on the Tryal thereof and that he together with the Said Several
Witnesses have Come Upwards of Thirty Miles from London in
Expectation that the same would be Tryed this Present Sessions
according to the Recognizance entered into by the said Defendant
and that the Expences on the said Several Witnesses and Money Paid them
for the less of their time in Comeing to London on this Account and going
back to their Several habitations with not Amount to less than five Pounds
Over and above the Money Paid to the Prosrs. Attorney and Councel
