The Informacon of George Comer Chamberlaine< no role > at the
Three Cupps June in Bread Streete London taken upon oath
this fourteenth day of January 1712 before Ferdinando

This Informt: upon his oath sayth that on fryday the Twelfth day
of December last past in the evening one Charles Powell< no role > came to the
three cupps June in Bread Streete abovesaid and asked if he might
have entertainmt: & sell upp his horse & lodged there that night
and on satturday the thirteenth abt: three of the Clock in the after-
noone the said Charles Powell went out & tooke the key of his
Chamber along with him and came noe more in till the next
day being sunday about foure of the Clock the afternoone and then went upp
into his chamber and lay there that night And this Informt.
further sayth that Alderman Webb of Gloucester lying also att the [..]
sd: three cupps that night (the said Alderman Webb was (as the told [..]
this Informt:) whilst he was in bed robbed and had taken out of his
pocketts three guineas & abroad peece of gold & five & thirty
shillings or thereabouts in moneys numbred & a silver sunsh [..]
a silver Tobacco box a Diamond ring & a mournenig king a paire of silver shoe buckles & ape of back
mettall buttons out of his sleeves which lay on the Table in his [..]
Chamber; And this Depont: sayth that he veryly beleive that the
said Charles Powell was the person that comitted the said Robery
And this Informt: sayth that he is the rather indicted soe to doe by
reason there was noe other psons lodged in the said Anne that sunday night
but the said Alderman Webb & one Mr: Davis a Clothier in Gloucester
& akinsman of the Aldermans & another gent that came to see
or accompany the Alderman out of Towne; And that the said
Powell was upp very early & in great hast to be you before any
body else was stirring of the guest & went away from thence be [..]
