The Examinacon of John Eagan< no role > a Lodger of
next dore to Founders Hall takenupthis
first day of January 1696

This Examint: saith that he doth not know, nor
ever did know Mr Willm Berkimhead< no role > who was lately
a prisoner in Newgate for high Treason, nor doth
he know that the said Mr Birikmhead made his
Escape from thense or by what meanes he made
his Escape

he saith that he hath heard of one Mr Thomas
[..] Kavanagh
< no role > but never spake to him in
any Matter directly nor indirectly untill this
Evening, and then this Examint: being appr-
-hended by a Constable nere Founders Court
in Lothbury did then Meete the said Mr Kavanagh
and said to him your servt: Capt: Kavanagh and
the reason why this Examinant did speake to him
was, because he had beene informed by Sr John
Magarth

that the said Kavenagh would put him to trouble

This Examint: saith that he was at Gaunt in
Flanders from the twelfth of July last old Stile
untill the tenth day of September last New Stiles
and then came into England and the first place he
Lodged at was [..]
at the Golden Ball in little Duke Streete and [..]
-wards at uses whit [..] in greate Russell St [..]
and afterwards at
at Mr Terryes in Holford A [..]
and afterwards at Mr Lunds in Founders Court
he hath beene over since the Eighteenth of
September last [..] and from whence he hath
not beene till this very day being sick all the
while

This Examint: saith that he never was at St
Jermans in France in all his life neither doth
he knew that he doth know any man that goes by ye name of
James Carew< no role >
