The Examinacon of Mathew Boyne< no role > taken
before the Right honoble St. John Houblon< no role >
Knt . Lord Major of the City of London
& one of His Matyes. Justises of the peace
for the same City, This 20th. day of
December 1695

Who saith, That he haveing bin formerly A Serve
to Jeffry Jeffrey< no role > & Esqr , He this Examinant did this
morning about four A clock, go to the said
Mr. Jeffreys's house at Roehampton in Surry , &
there finding the enter door of the Brewhouse
only put to, but not lockt or latcht, this Examint.
thrust open the Same & went in & took thereout
the Copper which was now taker upon him,
And then took A Couple of Fowles which he
found in the sd. Mr. Jeffreys's Yard sitting in
A Gree, & were also taken upon him, which he
killed & brought away with him together with
the sd. Copper
