taken on Oath
the seventeenth day of March 1789 before me one of his
Majestys Justices of the Peace for the County of Middlesex
Who Saith That his Place of residence is at Hackney
and
lets out part of his house to Lodgers And that on the Twenty
fifth day of February last he fastened his Apartments
by Locking the same his Windows being fastened
And went to East Hanvill
in the County of Essex
for
the benefit of his health and After being there near
three weeks he was sent to by his son to acquaint
him that his apartments were broke open and Robbed
upon which he immediately came home and found that
his Room door had been opened and on looking for his
money where he left at he found his Money being Eighteen
Guineas) in Gold was Stolen away, on looking further he
missed the Keys of his drawers, then he broke open
his drawers and found that his Plate was stolen and
a Black Silk Cloak his property, upon which he
applied to a Magistrate for a search Warrant to
search the Premisses of George Wood< no role >
who was a Lodger
in his house when he left it but was gone (before his return)
to Erith
in the County of Kent
, And on the Officer going to
search is Apartments at [..] th - [..] the said George Wood< no role >
delivered the Officer
