in the same parish Painter and Lydia< no role > the wife of Thomas Watkins< no role >
Hair dresser at Mr. Sutherland the Corner of School house Lane
Cock hill in the said Parish taken this 16th day of Feby 1789 who
being on their Oaths say and first the said James Brown< no role > for himself
saith the [..] pair of Breeches produced are of the Value of
[..] Nine Shillings and were taken from his house this afternoon
about the hour of Three that hearing a Boy had taken [..]
[..] a pair of Breeches from his door he run out pursued
the person present who saith his name is Joseph Notting< no role > and
and took him that suspecting on being pursued he had thrown
said Breeches into a Yard as he passed by he found the same
where he suspected

Nathaniel Miller< no role > on his Oath saith this afternoon about the hour of
Three he saw Joseph Notting< no role > take the pair of Breeches which
he knowns by the Stripes from the Door of Mr Brown of Cockhill
that he went to Mr. Brown and told him of the taking said [..]
Breeches and went with him and pursuit and was at the apprehending
him that he saw Notting have the Breeches under his Arm
until he came to Glass house field and has not a Doubt
the Breeches produced which he was at the finding in a Yard
in said fields are the same he saw Joseph Notting take as
aforesaid

Lydia Watkins< no role > on her Oath saith this afternoon about the
hour of Three she saw Joseph Notting take the Breeches produced
from the Door of Mr. James Brown< no role > who tucked them under
his Arm and run away towards Glass house field

Joseph Notting says he know nothing about them that
the Gentleman took him as he was walking along by the Glass house
that he lives in Eastsmith field worked sometime admiting Coal Sach
and was coming from Greenland Dock and was going home

The Declaration of Joseph Notting as taken by [..] the day and Year
before mentioned where puses to sign the same
