of Tothil Street Westminster Gardener ,and
James Rolph< no role > Serjeant in the Coldstream
Regiment of Guards and Clement Debney< no role >
Gardener to Thomas Harris< no role > Esqr. of Knightsbridge
taken before me this 10th. day of October
1789.

Who being on Oath severally say and first the said
Henry Matthews< no role > for himself says, that on Tuesday the 25th.dayof
August last between four and five o Clock in the morning, as he
was going up Constitution Hill , and near the Gate in the Pailing
he picked up among some grass between the Foot & Horse way
the part of a Watch ChainandWatch key and Buckle now produced
that in the Horse road near the same spot, he picked up the
Bludge on now produced, which several Articles he the same
morning delivered to William Collard< no role > Groom to Thomas Harris< no role >
Esquire And the said James Rolph< no role > for himself sayd, that
on the 30th. of August last he saw a Silver Watch in the
Possession of John Daniels< no role > a Soldier in the Colds to cam Regiment
when on Guard at Hawington And that he is very sure that
thea Silver Watch, which he hath this Day seen in the Possession
of Mr Windsor< no role > Pawn broker in White Chapel is the same Watch
which he saw in [..] said Daniels possession as aforesaid.
And the said Clement Debney< no role > for himself says that the Buckle
part of a Watch Chain, and Watch key now produced are his property
and were lost by him the night on which he was robbed upon
Constitution Hill and verily beleives that the Bludgeon
