The Informations of Amey Allen< no role > of No. 4 Craven
Street in the Strand Singlewoman , [..]

[..] taken this 27th.
Day of July 1789

Who beingseverallyupon Oath saysand first the said Amey Allen< no role >
[..] thatshe resides at the dwelling house ofthe Informant
John Yates< no role > that on Tuesday last about Six o'Clock in the Evening
Two Persons came to Mr Yates's< no role > house and Enquired for Lodgings, that
One of the said Two Persons went up stairs [..] view the Appartments
and the other remained in the passage , that after being in the House
about Ten Minutes said Men went away together, that about and
hour and half after said Men were gone away, Informant and
Mrs. Yates having occasion to go out went to fetch their Cloaks
which hung in the Front Parlour Cut found they were gone, and being
suspicions that the plate which was in the Beaufet in the same
parlour was also gone she inspected the Beaufet and found that
Eleven Silver Tea Spoons, 3 silver Table Spoons a Pair of Silver
Tea Tongs & One Silver Salt [..] the property of the
Informantsaid John Yates< no role > was gone there from, and she is very sure that
the Cloak, and the several Articles of Plate were in the said Parlour
and Beaufet a few Minutes before said Men came to the House
she having seen the same, and this Informant is very sure that
from the Time of her last Seeing the said Articles to the Time of
Missing them no other Person or Persons came to Mr Yates's house
Thatbut said Two Men one [..] whom she suspects to have taken
said Articles of plate and said CloaksThat about ½ past 7 o Clock last
Night as she this Informant was walking in Kensington Gardens she
saw One of the Two Men who so came to Enquire about the
Lodgings in the said Gardens whose Name she has since understood
is Frederick Augustus Newman< no role > [..]
[..] who she believes is the person that stole
said Articles of plate and Cloaks
