Middlesex to wit

The Information of Simon Goldsmith< no role >
Harry Goodes< no role > Georgeand William Eldridge< no role >
of Wembley in the County of Oxford
taken before me this 28th. day of October
1788

Who being upon Oath say, and first the said Simon
Goldsmith
< no role > says that on Thursday the 15th. of October instant
Joseph Parsons< no role > late a day Labourer at Wembley Green
brought to this Informant to be shed, the black Horse
claimed by William Batten< no role > of Setsworth in Oxfordshire
and now at the Green Man at Wimbley -- That Informant
asked said Parson the price of him who replied that he
was not to be fold, that he belonged to his Master who
was bid 15 Guineas for him at Charlberry Fair who
would not part with him for Twenty -- That after
the Horse was shed said Parsons rode away, upon
him -- And the said Harry Goodes for himself saith that
he was at said Simon Goldsmith< no role > 's Shop at this time
and heard the before mentioned conversation pass between
the said Goldsmith and said Parsons and that on the
Friday morning the said Horse was brought to this
Informants Stables bythe said willhimself he having
found it upon Wimbley Common -- And the said William
Eldridge
< no role > for himself saith that he was also present at,
said Goldsmith Shop and saw said Parsons go away
with said Black Horse - That in about an hour afterwards
about a Mile and a half from thence he saw said parsons
upon another Horse when he asked said Parson what he had
done with the Black Horse, who replied he had sent him in
astring of Horse to Smithfield and then asked this
