Residing near to the Place where the For feiture and Seizure herein after mentioned were made a long Stains and Information
and hereby informeth us, that Ellis Anwyle< no role >
one of his Majestys Officers of Excise
within three Months last past
that is to say on the Fifth day of October last past at Westend
near Hampstead
in the said County of Middlesex
, did
Seize as for feited Two Pounds and a quarter of Green Tea for that on the said fifth day of October one John Wicks< no role >
of West
End
near Hampstead
in the said County was and still is a Seller of Tea
and so being such Sellar of Tea as aforesaid
he the said John Wicks< no role >
had made a true and Particular entry in Writing of the several Rooms, Shops and other
Places by him used, situate at West end aforesaid, And he the said John Wicks< no role >
so being such Siller of Tea and having
made much entry as aforesaid did on the said fifthday of October bring into such Rooms Shops and other Place of
which such entry had been made as aforesaid Two pounds and a Quarter of Green Tea, without first having given
Notice thereof to the Proper Officer under whose Survey, the said John Wicks< no role >
then was; and without producing to
such Officer, and leaving with him as Authentic Permit or Certificate; pursuant to the Statute in that Case
Made and provided and did there with Increase the Stock of the said John Wicks< no role >
then and there in the Custody of
the said John Wicks< no role >
so being such Dealer as aforesaid Two Pounds and a Quantity Green Tea over and above the
Quantity which the Officer of Excise found in his Custody as the Time of such Officers last Pruceding survey upon the said
John Wicks< no role >
as being such Dealer as aforesaid, And the said Ellis Anwyb< no role >
being such Officer
on the said fifth
day of October, aforesaid did discover and find the said Increases so made as aforesaid, over and above the Quantity
of Green sea which was found in the said John Wicks< no role >
Custody at the Time, of the last preceding survey upon
the said John Wicks< no role >
, as being such Dealer, wherely, and by force of the Statute in such Case made and provided
so much of the said Stock as was found so Increased became forfieted; where upon by Virtue of the said Statute
the said Ellis Anwyb so being such Officers as aforesaid did then and there seize as forfeited the said first mentioned
Two Pounds and a Quanter of Green Tea from and out of the Stock then and there in the Possession of the said

being a Quantity equal to the Quantity so Increased as aforesaid, And also the said John Wicks< no role >
being the person in whose Rock such Increase was discovered and forced as aforesaid, hath by force of the said
Statute for field the sum of Twenty Pounds of lawful [..] Money of Great Britain And there upon the said Bartholomew

who is as well for his said Majesty as for himself humbly prays the Judgment of us the said
Justice in the Permises and that he may have one Moiely of the said Frofecture and Seizure and
that the said John Wicks< no role >
may be Summoned to Answer this Complaint and to make Defence
there to before us the said Justices
