The Examination of John Batt< no role > charged with felony
and taken before me this 25th. day of August 1786

Who saith that he will knows William White< no role > and George
Woolford
< no role > now presentThat on Sunday Evening last the 20th. of August
instant, the said Woolford, White and this Examinant stopped two
Men about 9 oClock near Tooting in Surrey and robbed them of
about three Shillings in Moneythat in about three hours afterwards
the said White, Woolford and [..] this Examinant robbed a Man &
a Woman on foot on the Merton Road of the Watch makers Name
John Byard< no role > Croydon No. 1440 with the Name Jeremiah Booth< no role >
on the Dial plate, now produced, and about seven Shillings in Money
That on Tuesday Night the 22nd. instant said White, Woolford, and this
InsExaminant about nine oClock, robbed two Men in a single
Horse Chaise on Hounslow Heath of about seventeen Shillings and
Six penceThat they soon afterwards robbed two other Gentlemen
in [..] another single Horse Chaise of about fifty shillings or three Pounds in
Money and the Watches makers Name Brittan Devizes No.
6281 and George Willet< no role > No. 1552 now producedThat the said White
Woolford and this Examinant then crossed to the Uxbridge Road
where they robbed a Post Boy, who was driving returned a Post Chaise [..]
[..] of about twenty
ShillingsThat soon afterwards said White, Woolford, and this Examinant
robbed a Waggoner near same place who was riding on the middle Horse [..] then
drawing said Waggon of four shillingsThat about half an hour
after this, the said Woolford, White and [..] this Examinant stopped
a Labouring Man, near same place, and robbed him of two pence
That as they went to Hounslow , they stopped at the Bell at Brentford
and had some Beer and a Glass of Spirits eachThat last Night
said White, Woolford and Examinant about nine oClock stopped
two Gentlemen and two Ladies in a Coach on the Edgware road
and robbed them of a Metal Watch makers Name Jackson, a
