of Hampton in the County aforesaid Labourer
Taken and made before me William Heckford< no role > Esqr
one of his Majestys Justices of the peace for the
County of Middlesex this 13th Day of April
in the Year 1785 .

Who on his Oath Saith

That above the hour of nine oClock on Tuesday night Ca [..]
as he was going to the House of Mr Goddin at Hampton to
Sleep there (being hired to sleep there to guard the Home) [..]
the absence of the family, He found it [..] be glan [..] dy
broke open and he was 2 men run [..] of the door
whom he persued and took one, whose name is Joseph
Brown< no role > , who is now in Custody but the other escaped
He one is oath Saith that he found on Him divers
Articles of wearing apperel the property of Mrs Goddin
and sworn to by her Servant , besides a blunder buss and a
quantity of Pick lock keys and other implements for house breaking
