Butterfield< no role > , Simon Goldsmith< no role > , and John Pollock< no role > taken
before me this 29th. day of November 1784

Who being upon Oath say, and first the said George Chandler< no role > says
that either on Monday Night or Tuesday morning last a white Cock seven
or eight Fowls and five Ducks were stolen from him at Greenford Green in
the said County and further says that the white Cock now produced
is the Lock stolen as aforesaid and that the doth verily believe that
the eight Fowls and five Ducks now produced are the Fowls and Ducks
that were stolen from him-The said James Hall< no role > says that the three
Ducks now produced are his property and were stolen from Greenford
Green aforesaid on Monday Night last-The said Job Butterfield< no role >
says that in the afternoon of Tuesdayafternoonlast he found all
the Fowls and Ducks now produced under some Hay near a Hay
Rick in a Field called New Field near Wainbley which Fowls and
Ducks he brought in a Cart to Mr. Walkers at Wambley-The
said Scinon Goldsmith< no role > says that he took the said Fowls and Ducks
back to the Place from whence they were brought and hid them
under some Hay near said Hay Rick-that about twelve o Clock that
Night two persons now present who call themselves William Brooks< no role >
and Benjamin [..] Hilliard< no role > came from a Gate up to said Hay
Rick and began tumbling the Hay about, when one of them said
with an Oath that "the Hay had been tumbled and they are gone"
whereupon this Informant presented a Green to said Hilliard and Said
he would Shoot him if he did notstoodsurrender, which he did,
and this Informant and other secured him at [..] which time
a third Companion Rode off from said Gate and at which Gate
this Informant found a Bay Mare since claimed by Josiah
