when he informed him
said John Smith< no role > , that he this Deponent Could not think
himself safe in the buying of the said Goods until he
the said John Smith< no role > informed this Deponent in which
way he Came by them, when the said John Smith< no role >
gave for Answer that he purchased the said Goods
of a Sailor who was going to France, this Deponent
informed the said John Smith< no role > that, that account
was very unsatisfactory and insisted upon taking
the Goods and the said John Smith< no role > before an
Alderman And this Deponent saith that the
said John Smith< no role > and this Deponent before Sir
Watkin Lewis< no role > Alderman then Sitting at the Guildhall
London with the said Goods when the said Alderman
advised this Deponent to Advertize the said Goods
and not to let the said Goods go out of his Custody but
to bring then before him that Day Senight and ordered
the said John Smith< no role > to appear on that Day And
this Deponent further Saith That he accordingly
Advertized the said Goods and in Consequence of the
said Advertizement the other Deponent Meeson Schooley< no role >
Claimed the said Printed Callico and which he has
Since Sworn to be his property And this Deponent
Thomas Flint< no role > Saith that he accordingly attended on
the said Day appointed on the said Alderman with
the said Goods And notwithstanding the said John
Smith
< no role > was desired and promised to Attend also on that
Day he did not appear And upon this Deponents
Inquiry at his Dwelling House was informed by
a woman who said she was the said John Smiths< no role >
Wife that he had absconded on gone Abroad And
this Deponent Meeson Schooley< no role > for himself further
Saith That on the [..] Sixth Day of November last
this Deponent Caused the said John Sealy< no role > to he
taken before Mr. Justice Hyde on Suspicion of
