Charges for stealing
Malt the property
of Thomas Long< no role > .

Thomas Long< no role > the prosecutor in this Cause maketh Oath and saith that
in is informed and verily believes that Robert Warren< no role > is a material
Witness against he said Richard Wild< no role > and that William Winden is
also a material Witness against he said Samuel Stockwell< no role > and that
without the benefit of the Testimony of the said Robert Warren< no role > and
William Winden this Deponent cannot safely proceed to the Trial of
either of the said Prisoners Richard Wild< no role > and Samuel Stockwell< no role > And
this Deponent further saith that the said William Winden and Robert
Warren
< no role > are both committed to prison for feloniously stealing Malt
the property of this Deponent in Company with the said Richard Weld< no role >
andWilliam Samuel Stockwell< no role > the said Richard Wild< no role > andThomasRobert Warren or
one Charge and the said Samuel Stockwell< no role > and William Winden
the other Charge And it does not appear by either of the said Commitment [..] that the said Robert
Warren
< no role > and William Winden are admitted Evidence for the presence
And this Deponent further saith that he is bound by Recognizance to
prosecute the said Richard Wild< no role > and Saml. Stockwell only And this
Deponent not knowing the intention of the committing Magistrate
whether the said Robert Warren< no role > andSarah Stockwell William Winten< no role > were to
be admitted as such Evidences the same not being specified in
either of the said Commitments went to Mr Taylor the committing
Magistrate at Charlton near Sunbury in the County of Middlesex
in the Evening of Thursday the Twenty first day of October instant but
not finding the said Mr Taylor at hor [..] his Deponent left a Letter
for the said Mr Taylor desiring to be informed whatthepersons were
to be prosecuted and this Deponent this Morning received a Letter
from the said Mr Taylor directed to Mr Chetham this Deponents
Attorney informing the said Mr Chetham that he the said Mr
Taylor had admitted the said Robert Warren< no role > an Evidence against
the said Richard Wild< no role > and the said William Winden against the
