The Information of Roger Thorne< no role >
and John Smallwood< no role > taken
before me this 27th.. day of Decemr
1783

Who being upon Oath say and first the
said Roger Thorne< no role > says that a Regimental Pistol
now produced is his Property and was Stolen out
of the Store Room at the Star and Garter at Keid
Bridge on Tuesday last-That missing his Pistol
be with the said John Smallwood< no role > searched the
Yard and Outhouses near the Store Room where
they found the said William Cousins< no role > secreted upon
a Mushroom Bed covered with Straw and
the Said Pistol lying by him and also a
Blanket now produced wrapped round him
And the said John Smallwood< no role > says that he
assisted in securing the said William Cousins< no role >
and found that the said Blanket was his
property and had been stolen from him the
same Evening
