. One of
His Majesty's Justices of the Peace
in and for the said
County this 16th. Day of August 1783
This Informant upon his Oath saith that on
Wednesday the 13th. day of August Inst. he this Informant
received Information that a Cart was waiting in the Old
Bailey
to take in a Quantity of Copper for the purpose of
Coining. That this Informant and one Jonathan Redgrave< no role >
hired a Coach in Smithfield
and followed the said Cart.
until it Stopped at the Gate of House at Muswell Hill
hear Hornsey in the said County of Middlesex
. And this
Informant further saith that he was further Informed that
the said Cart was to be brought back again to Town with
a Quantity of Counterfeit Copper half pence in it that this
Informant and the said Jonathan Redgrave< no role >
went back
to Islington
and there waited for the said Cart comeing
back And that near the Woolpack at Islington
This Informt.
and the said Jonathan Redgrave< no role >
Stopped the said Cart
which Contained a Quantity of Counterfeit Copper half pence
and Copper Cuttings and took one William Marston
Rothwell< no role >
into Custody who was the driver of the said
Cart both to and from the said House at Muswell Hill
That this Informant and the said Jonathan Redgrave< no role >
after having put the said William Marston Rothwell< no role >
the
Copper Half pence Etc. into safe Custody went back to the
