Cross . deposes that he carried A Messuage to [..]
Lieutenant Riddle on or about Sunday ye 13th Instant from Capt. Cunningham desiring
A Meeting to which Mr Riddle Objected a ledging
that he had given him the Opportunity of Seeing him
at Duckam Six Months before which he had not taken
the Advantage of that on Saturday April 19th.
Lieutenant Riddle receivd A Letter from Mr Cunningham
mentioning his spitting in his face that he waited
in Town to give him an Opportunity of waiting on him
that the Sunday following 20 Inst: he was in
Kensington Gardens walling Leist: Riddle came to him
& desired him to name ye time & place that on Monday
following about 10 o Clock in the Morning the parties Matt
in A field new Tyburn, when Leistr. Riddle first fired
& Shot Capn: Cunningham in the breast, on which Leist.
Riddle moved in order to withdraw, but that Leist Mr Cunningham
desired he might stay as he was able to fire which he
did without any Assistance what Even from Any person
further than his being first Assisted by him in Examing his
Wound.
