of the Passage the Man gone and the Street Door
Shut and the Key taken from behind the Door says
that she cannot remember as to the Mans Voice
but is almost positive as to the Sign and face that
the said Peter Varriese< no role > is the Man with whom
she so conversed as abovementioned

And this Informant John James Smith< no role > for himself
saith that he lives at his Fathers House in Bunhill
Row that on Monday Night the 3d. of December last
about half hour past Six oClock he went to meet
one Mrs. Harben a Passenger in the Lewes Coach at
the Golden Cross Charing Cross . Says that the Coach of
Sadler the other Informant was called which took
him & Mrs. Harben up together with two Trunks
& a little dress [..] Box which [..] them
to his Father House in Bwnt [..] at the Door
of which this Informant observed a Man very
genteelly dressed standing, dressed in a Green Coat
Lappelled White Waistcoat & a light Brown Great
Coat over his other Coat which from the Sign and
dress he verily believes to be the person now present
who calls himself Peter Varriere and the said
Man stood there untill this Informant & Mrs. Harben
were got into the House and the Trunks taken
out of the Coach & put into the Passages and the
Street Door was shut and this Informant further
saith that in a few Minutes after he heard the Street
Door Bell King and a Conversation between Mary
Delf
