Middlesex to wit

The Information of Joseph Hale< no role > taken before me this
18th. day of October 1775 .

Who being upon Oath says that he knows Andrew Gray< no role > now present, John
Hartley
< no role > , Abraham Sutliffe< no role > , John Cooper< no role > , Jesse Bates< no role > ,and William Wheatley< no role > and John Waltham< no role > now at
large, - Says that on Sunday last was a Week the said Andrew Gray< no role > , John Hartley< no role >
and this Informant, sett off from the said Hartleys Lodgings in an Alley near
Grub Street , with intent to break open and Rob the Public House commonly called
the Sluice House near Hornsey. that they arrived there about one o'Clock on
the Sunday Morning, that the said Hartley broke open the Shutters and got in,
andthen opened the door and let in this Informant and the said Gray
also that the said Hartley struck a light and then they all went up Stairs
that Hartley went into the Womans Room and Robbed her of about twenty
five Guineas, whilst this Informant stood at the Door; that the said
Gray went up two pair of Stairs and stood Guard over two Men
who were in Bed. that the said Hartley had a Crape over his face at the time
of the Robbery, and Gray a White Cap [..] that Hartley was arme'd with
a Pistol, Gray with a Cutlass, and this Informant with a Cutlass and Pistol,
that after Hartley had got the Money they all came away, Says
that about three Months ago the said Andrew Gray< no role > , Abraham Sutliffe< no role > , John
Cooper
< no role > , and this Informant, Robbed a Man on Foot in the Fields near the
Boot, [..] of a Silver Watch without a Chain, and about 25 Shillings in Money
his Silver Shoe Buckles,anda Stone Knee Buckle and his Hat. that the said Watch, Buckles
and Hat, were sold by them to Lyon Lyon for about 30 Shillings.
Says the said Lyon Lyon well knew they had been Stolen. Says that
a few days after the said Gray, Sutliffe, Cooper, and this Informant, Robbed
a Man on foot near Bagingge Wells of some Half pence, a Knife, Etc Car-
-penters Rule all of which they gave him back again, Says that about
five Months ago the said John Hartley< no role > Jesse Bates< no role > , Wm. Wheatley< no role >
Lambert Smith< no role > John Waltham< no role > and this Informant by means of a
false Key Stole out of a Gentlemans House at Wapping which [..]
