Kent (to wit)

John Newman< no role > of Lampton near Hunslow in the County of Middlesex Labourer
and David Dowsett< no role > of the same place Labourer severally make Oath and say And
first the said John Newman< no role > for himself saith that he is Servant to Mr: George Butler< no role >
of Lampton aforesaid Farmer And that on the third day of this Instant April
about four of the Clock in the Morning was stolen from out of this Deponent's
Lodging room in the Dwelling house of the said George Butler< no role > one pair of new
Buckskin Breeches a pair of Light Colour Worsted Stockings a red and White Silk
Handkerchief a light colour Cloth Coat and a red Waiscoat the property of this
Deponent and part of his Wearing Apparel And this Deponent saith he verily
believes the same things were so stolen and carried away by John Windon
his fellow Servant who run away from his service at that time and has not
returned to it since but hath entered for a Soldier and is now at Chatham
Barracks as this Deponent hath been informed And the said David Dowsett< no role >
for himself saith that he is also Servant to the said George Butler< no role > and that on
the day and about the hour before mentioned was Stolen from out of the
Lodging Room before mentioned (the same being also this Deponents lodging
Room) One pair of Shoes a pair of Copper Shoe Buckles a Dark brown Silk
Handkerchief striped with Red and blew the Property of this Deponent and
part of his Wearing Apparel And this Deponent saith that for the reasons
aforesaid he verily believes the said last mentioned things were so stolen
by the said John Windon.
