The Information of John Dodson< no role > of the Parish of Saint John
Hackney
< no role > in the County of Middlesex Weaver taken and made on
Oath before me David Wilmot< no role > Esqr. one of his Majestys Justices
of the Peace for the said County of Middlesex this 5th. October 1773

This Informant saith that he with James Childs< no role > about three
Months ago Feloniously Stopt a Man and Woman on the Kings Highway
in the Parish of Saint Mary Islington in the County of Middlesex and Robbed
the man of a Silver Watch with a Cornelian, Seal which this Deponent sold to
one John Humphrys< no role > for two Guineas and gave said Child one Guinea

And this Informant further saith that he with said Child and one
Richard Carden< no role > about the same time Felonioulsy Stopt a Man in the Fields near Hackney and
Robbed him of a Silver Watch and a Shilling which Watch said Childs
Pledged at Mr. Paynes of Golden Lane in the Parish of Saint Lukes for
one Guinea which Money they shared Equally alitte.

And this Informant further saith that he with said Childs
about two Months ago Stopt A Man in London Fields in the Parish of
Saint Leonard Shoreditch in the said County of Middlesex and Robbed him of one
Shilling

And this Informant further saith that he with said Childs about
the same time Stopt a Man in the new Road in the Parish of Saint Mary
Islington and Presented a Pistol to him and Demanded his Money, Said Childs
Received from the Man which they Stopt a Counterfeit Six and Nine Pence and three
Shillings in Silver which they Shared

And this Informant further saith that he with said Childs
about a Months Feloniously Stopt a Man in the New Road in the said
Parish of Saint Mary Islington , and Demanded his Money, the Man
Saying he had no Money for them and Endeavouring to get from them
Childs presented a Pistol to the Man which Intangled with a Ring of
Bell Wirewhichthat the Man had under his Arm by which means the
Man got Clear off by leaving the Wire behind him, he same Wire
was found in Childs Apartment when taken in Custody
