At Samuel Evans< no role > the Spotted Dog
in the Hamlet of Poplar and
Blackwell in the Parish of Saint
Dunstan Stepney the 8th. day of July
1785 on view of the Body of a Boy
Unknown then and there lying dead

Thomas Parker< no role > Beadle Saith That the
Deceased was found Drowned last
Tuesday in the Evening upon the
Timber near the Mast house of Mr.
Todd at the Mill Wall That he
had no Marks of Violence about him
That he appeared about fifteen years
oldHad on an old blue Jacket
an old Striped Shirt a pair of Drawer
and Trowersofover Them Stockings
but no ShoesThat as he was
bringing up the River some Ship's
Crews said it was the Boy who
belonged to the Sea flower
which was gone to the East
Informant Saith he hath made all
the Inquiry he could but cannot find
out who he is or how he became Drowned
