Information of Witnesses taken at the Parish of against
Botolph without Aldersgate without in the Ward of
Aldersgate in London the 31st. July 1789 on
view of the body of Henry Mansell< no role > there
lying dead.

Catherine Bowman< no role > Servant at Mr. Motts the Castle
and Falcon Inn Aldersgate Street London maketh oath that
this morning at one of Clock the heard who was book keeper at the
same Inn returned from an house in the Inn Yard where he had been
speaking the eve. and Dept gave him a Candle to go to bed, and he sayed
he would not go to bed he would go out again but Dept took the they
out of the door having previously looked it and sayed he should also
out; and Dept left him and went to her own Chamber up three pair
of stairs and she heard the deced gonotto his room on the repair of
Stairs and steal his door that when Dept came down stairs in the
morning the knocked at his door, that she called him afterwards and
at length desired Benjamin Rixey to go to the deced that afterwards
the door of the deced was unfastened by Bailey and then Dept saw the
dead hanging by at handkerchief to the Fester of his Bed.

Benjamin Bailey< no role > Servant at the aforesaid Inn maketh
oath that this morning Dept was desired by the last Witnesses to call
Harry (the deced) that he went to his room door and it was fastened &
Dept looked thro. a Window and saw the deced hanging to the lester of his
bed. Had Dept then called his Master, and afterwards returned again & went
into the deceds room at the Window and open the room door [..]
immedy. afterwds. he call the deced down who was quite stiff and deced Dept
says he spent the eve with the deced the proceeds ought-that he was
denful & his believes as usual-He has sometimes heard the deced say
because has himself but wherefore he sayed so Dept does not know.
