Maintenance
of Poor.

This Vestry was held pursuant to Publick Notice
given in the Church to receive the Report from the Comittee
appointed to consider of the most effectual Methods to be
taken for the better Provision and Maintainance of the Poor
of this Parish and for Easing and lessening the Charge thereof

And Mr Church Warden Newton Reported from the said
Comittee that they had received Proposalls from Nurse
Jackson for receiving and Maintaining the Poor of this
Parish for such time and upon the terms therein mentioned
and he read the said Proposalls in his place and the same
were then taken into Consideration and after same time
spent therein Mr William Chesson< no role > Moved that Nurse
Jacksons Proposalls be accepted. And that the said
Comittee be Empowered by this Vestry to Treat and Agree
with Nurse Jackson< no role > for receiving and Maintaining the
Poor of this Parish upon the terms mentioned in such
proposalls and that proper Articles of Agreement be
prepared and entred in to for that purpose, And that the
said Comittee to be Indemnifyed for so doing by the
Parish, and being Seconded by Mr John Hayden< no role > the Question
was put on the said Motion and carry'd in the Affirmative

Ordered That Nurse Jacksons Proposalls be accepted
and that the said Comittee be Empowered by this Vestry
To Treat and Agree with her for receiving and Maintaining
