Examined the prisons & found them clean

The Calendar of the Prisoners being laid before
the Committee, there appeared to be

42Men
5 Apprentices
48 Women
13 Children
108

The Committee on examining the prisons find some
Men chiefly Soldiers & Sailors with their Wives and
Children committed for seven days & then to be passed
to their respective Parishes.They submit to the
Magistrates whether it would not be better in the
first instance to pass them to their several parishes
without sending them to Bridewell , and causing
an unnecessary expence to the hospital, and additional distress to the parties
