Bastard Child born
in Wapping

born of her body on the tenth day of June one thousand
Seven hundred & eighty one in Wiltshire Lane in the
Parish of St John Wapping in the sd County & that
one John Rider< no role > now or late of the Same Parish
Lighterman is the Father of the Said Child That the said
Child being born as aforesaid a Bastard in the said
Parish of St John Wapping & this Depont. being of
inability to Nurse & Maintain the same She applied
Sometime ago to the Overseers of the Poor of the said
Parish of St John Wapping for relief for the sd Child
who for sometime allowed this Depont a Weekly allowce
for the Maintenance of the said Child & afterwards Caused
a Warrant to be issued for Apprehending the Father of the
said Child in order to be indemnified by him against
Such Maintenance but what was the Consequence or
effect of such Proceeding this Depont can't Particularly
Set forth That this Depont has been lately removed by
an order from the Said Parish of St John Wapping to
the Sd Parish of St John Wapping Botolph without
Aldgate as the Place of her last legal Settlement
& her said Child has been sent with her for Nurture
