about seventeen years ago she was lawfully married to
one Robert Bennett< no role > of the Parish of St Botolph without
Aldgate in the said County Lighterman That her said
husband has informed her & which She believes to be true
that he was duly bound to & Served the whole of his
Apprenticeship with David Jones< no role > in the Said Parish of
St Botolph without Aldgate Lighterman & allways
lodged during Such Apprenticeship in his Masters house
in the Said Parish as she believes & this Depont has seen
her sd husbands Indres That her sd husband to this
Deponts Knowledge or belief after his Apprenticeship
never rented a house of Ten pounds a year or upwds
nor ever served any Parish office nor ever paid any
Poors Rates or kings Taxes nor ever did any Act to
gain a Subsequent Settlement That upwards of
Ten years ago her sd husband departed from her
& went on board a Man of War & this Depont has
never Seen him since Nor does She knew Whethr he is now
dead or living That about five years ago a Letter
was Sent by her said husband to this Deponts mothr
Mrs Scott as her sd Mother has informed her & which
She believes to be true that her sd husband was then
living at New York in America That this Depont
hath a Child named Sophia Rider< no role > which was-
