Elizh. Mountain< no role > the Wife of Richd. Mountain< no role >
(who has left her) maketh Oath that she was
lawfully Married to her said Husband at the
Parish Church of St. Leonard Shorditch on or
about the Seventh Day of January 1781 or 1782
that her said Husband was Born in Ireland as
he has informed her. And has never done any Act
to her Knowledge or belief to gain a Settlement
in England that she this Deponent about Twenty
Eight Years ago & when she was a Singlewoman
was hired & lived as a hired Servant by the year
with Pearce Mooney< no role > Victualler who then lived in the House
called the Cock & Cross in Red Cross Street in the
Parish of St. Botolph without Aldgate in the County
of Middlesex at the Yearly Wages of Four Pounds,
& continued in his Service, under such hiring
about Fourteen Months that she did not after she
quitted his Service live as a hired Servant by the
Year in any other Parish or Place for the space of One
Year together or do any Act to her Knowledge or
Belief to gain a Subsequent Settlement (except her
Marriage as aforesd.) that she has Three Children
Namely James < no role > aged about Ten years Henry < no role > aged
about Seven Years & Peter < no role > aged about Two years
the lawful issue by her said Husband
