Cliffs end farm Taddy [..]


And also did on the same day view the Farme
and Lands called Cliffes End Farme lyeing in the parish
of St. Lawrence in the Isle of Thanet in the sd County the Gift of
Mr John Parsons< no role > to the sd hospital of Bethlem which
was by him Leased to Richard Taddy< no role > deced and was then
held by his Brother James Taddy< no role > under the same Lease wch.
would expire at Michas 1713 and the sd Richard Taddy< no role > was
allowed by Mr. Parsons £150 to be laid out in repairing the
sd. Farme but it did not appeare to them that the sd. £150 had
been laid out the Barnes and Outhouses not being in proper repair
and the said James Taddy< no role > desired a new Lease at the rent of £90
P Annm or at Pr same rent he then paid the Governor . allowing £150 or Such Sume as would put it into Sufficient
repaire

And also did on Saturday ye 22d day of Septemr. 1711
view the Farme and Lands called Gallends lyeing in the parish
of St John in the Isle of Thanet in the same County ye Gift of Mr
John Edmondson< no role > to the sd hospital of Bethlem then in the
occupacon of Roger Taddy< no role > And did find a good dwelling house
there then lately new built a good mault house a Barne & Outhouse
all in good repair but ye Tenant holding other Farmes adjacent
did not dwell in the house but the Lands were in very good order &
there being two Gates to go down to the sea did find the Westmost
in good order but the Sea had almost destroyed ye Eastmost
And Some peices of Land being intermixed wth. the Lands of this
Farme would be proper to be purchased if to be had at a reasonable
rateThis Comee are of Opinion That the sd Thomas Gurney< no role > This name instance is in set 2951.
Milk house be paved wth. broad Stones & the Garden to the house be
inclosed wth a brick Wall as he desires & that he have a new Lease
of the sd. premisses (in his possion) for one & Twenty yeares under
the same rent he now pays according to the prayer of his Petition
which never the lesse is Submitted to the Judgement of the Court

This Court haveing duely weighed and considered the said
Report doth Confirme the Same & Order a Lease to be made
to the said Thomas Gurney< no role > This name instance is in set 2951. accordingly.

And it is further Ordered That the thanks of the Court be given to
sr Francis Forbes< no role > and Mr Lade for their great Care and trouble in
the said affaire
